Steel Plates means thick steel sheet. It is usually 6mm thick and used for shipbuilding. It is widely used for bridge construction and various industrial machinery. Dongkuk Steel gained classification standard from a classification society of ten developed countries including Japan and the United States. The steel plates are widely used for shipbuilding, general structure, welding construction, boiler and pressure container, machinery structure according to the material.
Most of steel plates made in the country is used for ship building. Dongkuk Steel produces ship classification general steel and high strength steel with the certificate gained for the shipbuilding from ten countries’ classification societies. Steel plates are mainly used in tankers, cargo ship, container ship, LPG and LNG vessels, and offshore structures. The Improvement and diversification in product’s quality are required according to the diversification of ships.
