Swamp Wood, also known as Green Wood and Zombie Wood, is a species of Wood that is found exclusively in the Swamp along with Gold Wood. Its leaves are grey with the granite texture and have a square surface. When sawed, this wood is a very bright green. Its leaves look like a grey countertop sold at Fancy Furnishings. Both Swamp Wood and Gold Wood were added on August 28, 2015.

Characteristics [ ]

Its bark is colored Sea Green and is textured Concrete, like any other tree bark. It usually grows horizontally, similarly to Cavecrawler Wood, however it does not grow as big as Cavecrawler Wood.

It can grow to a very large size due to how the game handles tree growth; trees have a maximum height that they can grow to, but not a maximum width. Since its trees grow horizontally rather than vertically, it can have an unlimited lateral size as long as it does not grow upwards past its maximum height, making this tree theoretically the largest in game. The largest Swamp Wood tree ever seen was about the width of a plot of land.

Harvesting [ ]

It is recommended to have a Overgrown Axe, if otherwise not owned then a Silver Axe, The Many Axe, or any other efficient axe to chop it. A Sawmax 01 or better is recommended to process all of the tree.

Using the Rock Bridge is the recommended route to getting to the Swamp, however, this requires the player to have Dynamite along with them. A more in-depth guide can be seen here. The Safari Mountain Passage can also be used to enter the Swamp but is less efficient due to not being able to bring a vehicle to haul chopped trees. Other methods can include long planking up the mountain or using door bridges.

Spook Wood is a type of wood that was introduced during the 2015 Halloween Update, along with Sinister Wood, and became an annual occurrence every successive October.

Characteristics [ ]

Spook Wood’s black bark is made of SmoothPlastic, hosting a granite CGA Brown interior.

Spook is the third densest tree in the game, often requiring lots of chops to successfully cut down. When the game attempts to spawn a Spook, there is a 1/100 chance that it will be replaced by a Sinister instead. Spook trees tend to commonly grow quite bent over, almost always be found in strange and twisted shapes similar to Zombie Wood. Spook trees also have a certain number of «segments» and «branches». Branches are parts of the tree that split into multiple limbs, while segments do not split. Spook trees have anywhere between 1-5 segments, with 5 being the rarest. Only trees with 1-2 segments can become «monsters», or just very large trees.

It should also be noted that it is extremely heavy (depending on its size), especially in plank form, which may pose many difficulties transporting.

Spawning [ ]

Spook Wood has a very interesting and unique set of spawning criteria that the server must meet in order to place a sapling. Before anything, the server will check to make sure its clock is past October 1st at 6:00 A.M. EST, not in the End Times event, or before November 1st at 6:00 A.M. EST. To spawn the tree, the server must be from 6-10 hours old, this number previously being 25, 17, and 6 hours. As of October 6th, 2022, a new «stagger» feature has been introduced, slightly randomizing the spawn of any server’s first tree. This stagger put an end to droughts and waves, where no trees and many trees could be found respectively. From there, the server will randomly select a point located on any part named Sand, Slate, Ground or Road. Next, a raycast is sent up from that location, and if unobstructed, the sapling will begin to grow. If any of the criteria is not met, the server will wait one growth call before attempting another spawn.

On October 31st, during the End Times event, up to three spooks can spawn at once, with the spawn interval dropping from 6-10 hours to ~30 minutes. This means that each tree will have a slightly different age and spawning location, as the trees require a 10 stud radius in order to spawn.

Harvesting [ ]

It is recommended to use a Rukiryaxe, Alpha Axe, or Many Axe for cutting, since Spook Wood is very dense.

A major misconception with Spook/Sinister trees are «hot spots;» as with any other tree types, they are spread evenly across the map and have an equal chance of spawning in any locations that permit its growth. However, they will still be found more often in larger biomes due to them having more surface area.

Remember, Spook trees are not obligated to make themselves harvestable; they can spawn in nearly inaccessible locations such as the Maze Ledge and the Tropics-Taiga land bridge. They can be very challenging and elusive, and one may not always be able to legitimately recover one.

History [ ]

Spook wood was teased several days before October of 2015, when Defaultio teased on twitter «Things are about to get spooky.» He teased a similar message in 2016, but did not do the same any year afterwards. The first spook trees were found on October 11, 2015, and like any other year grew throughout the month. However, it is speculated that they had unusual spawning mechanic because Spook spawning was ran by a server-wide remote fire in 2015.

On October 31, 2015, the rate of spook growth skyrocketed; with up to three trees could be seen in the same line of sight. This Halloween was the only one where the map did not change, as the End Times even was not introduced until 2016.

Spook Wood made a surprising reappearance in December of 2015, where players showed screenshots of it spawning. Unfortunately, this was a time when its growth was controlled differently, and thus will never ever occur again. Additionally, a Spook was found in September of 2016, just 10 days before October had arrived. It was the only instance in which the tree was found in any month other than October, November, or December, and was likely the result of strange manual spawning. It was found by a friend of User:Lancept02. The last strange occurrence happened when User:TFlanigan123 found a spook tree on September 30th, 2021; however this was speculated to be caused by an exploit which could trigger the End Times event. Spook grew automatically past 2017 and continues to do so today, removing odd occurrences in non-October months.

Spook spawning is not continuous throughout October, however; saplings appear to grow as a cluster around 6:00 A.M. EST, and grow throughout the day until they die or are cut. The gaps between the deaths of these trees and the next spawnings are often referred to as «droughts.» Sometimes Spooks skip a «spawning» stage and a larger drought continues until the next day when the cycle is ready to start over. Another common explanation for droughts are Roblox updates on Wednesdays that forcefully close servers, resetting the Spook growth cycle.

As of October 5th, 2022, a new addition to spawning called the «stagger» was introduced, effectively removing droughts and waves. The stagger works by adding a random amount of wait time to every server’s first spook spawn. This stagger interval is estimated to be between 0-3 hours long, although no research has been constructed yet.

2015 Halloween Event [ ]

The 2015 Halloween Event was the first halloween event in the game. It added a new item called the Pumpkin, which was purchasable at Bob’s Shack for $360 Money. The event also included the addition of Spook and Sinister Wood, which rarely spawns in game during the event.

2016 Halloween Event [ ]

The 2016 Halloween Event added very many new features to the game. Three new items, called the Dark Pumpkin, Preserved Enlarged Ostrich Eye and the exclusive, Halloween-only axe, the End Times Axe, were added. The event also introduced the End Times Update, which includes the Lone Cave, a new biome that sprouts the valuable Phantom Wood, which can only be cut by the newly introduced End Times Axe. Alongside with these additions, Spook and Sinister Wood makes a return, and intense fog, metal made rusty, removal of tree’s leaves, and grey water was added to add more depth to the event.

2017 Halloween Event [ ]

The 2017 Halloween Event reintroduced the End Times Update, the End Times Axe, and Spook and Sinister Wood. Although, a new geographical feature called the Lost Cave was added. The dark cave system can be found near the Taiga including two new characters — the Skeleton, located at the end of a cavern, and the Strange Man, at the end of another. The Strange Man will grant the player the ability to fill any blueprint with one cubic Unit of any wood, with a very costly price of $10,009,000 Money. Also, similarly to the two previous years, October started off with a new pumpkin, the Strange Pumpkin. On that day, in Merely’s booth, a YouTube video ID to a teaser trailer of Defaultio’s upcoming game was also written on a poster, replacing the text «FOLLOW THE EAGLE».

2018 Halloween Event [ ]

The 2018 Halloween Event began on September 26 th , 2018. The amount of seasonal items added in this update was the greatest of all years, including the first Halloween item in Wood R Us — Bag of Candy also being the first Bag of Candy of the game, and the three paintings: Arctic Light, Gloomy Seascape at Dusk and the Pineapple. The fourth pumpkin was also added to the game, named Cursed Pumpkin, colored red, and could be purchased at Bob’s Shack. A variation of Icicle Lights, the Spooky Icicle Lights, was added in Fancy Furnishings as well, also being the first Halloween item to make appearance in the store. In addition, the Amber Axe was also introduced and could be purchased at Bob’s Shack. Surprisingly, all of these items were made by common users, becoming one massive fan-made suggestion update. It was also surprising that after the event concluded, the paintings that were added previously were never removed, and were left to stay available year round.

Сейчас возможно получить только путем торговли с игроками. Далее идем к мосту и стараемся полужить глаз прямо в отверстие в стекле. После оплачиваем спуск моста, залезаем на мост и ждем пока он спустится в Одинокую Пещеру После остановки, следуем по тропе и находим само дерево. Для сруба фантомного дерева необходим Топор конца времен

Примечания [ ]

• Вырастает во время старта сервера, срубить можно только 1 раз, после, оно не вырастает.
• После того как сервер запустился, дереву нужно 200 минут что-бы вырасти.
• Что-бы срубить новое дерево, Вам не обходимо будет сменить сервер.
• Самое дорогое и прочное дерево в игре.

Интересные факты [ ]

Топор конца времен — единственный топор который может срубить Фантомное дерево.

Дерево очень лëгкое, так что советую рубить целиком и идти пешком до моста.

Внизу вас ждет пустота которая мгновенно убивает.

Что-бы выбраться из пещеры в случае если мост поднимется без вас по дороге к мосту идем по правой дороге. Там есть щель которая переносит вас в Сафари.

Если фантомных досок будет слишком много (350шт.) слот может не сохранится/перезаписаться.
